Young Diggers provides services like compensation, welfare and family advice for all serving and ex-serving personnel of the Australian or New Zealand Defence Forces.
As there were no other ex-service organizations that had the facilities to cater for younger veterans and their young families, a group of these veterans got together and formed the Australian Veterans Group Post 1975 in Hervey Bay.
